This new Diving Centre at the Grand Oasis Resort (Shark Bay), near Sharm El Sheikh, is run professionally by Cristina Gheza of Werner Lau diving.

The multilingual diving instructor and Divemaster Team teach Barakuda (CMAS) as well as PADI so you can be assured of the best standards throughout.

Sharm el Sheikh has much to offer both the qualified diver or those who simply wish to learn to dive in a warm relaxing environment.

The "House Reef"

Directly in front of the Grand Oasis (not even 40 metres away from the diving centre), there is a nice house reef.  This is an ideal place for your shore dives, night dives and open water dives with courses, and is an ideal place to plunge from.  Non limit diving is also offered here.

6 Days Dive box Grand Oasis 

First dive accompanied by a diving-instructor or Divemaster at the house reef and further up to 17 unaccompanied dives (max. 3 dives per day, exclusive night-dives).

Of course you can book boat trips and other activities while being down there.

Dive Equipment

The new built diving-centre at the Grand Oasis is located directly at the beach and is equipped - as are all of the Werner Lau Diving Centres, especially for the demands of Scuba Divers.
You will find all of the equipment you need to rent.

We will supply you with 50 12l Aluminium Bottles (DIN + INT) which are filled by a Bauer Mariner Compressor.
Our guests supported by our staff can also use our well-equipped workshop.

Private Equipment:

Private Equipment can be left at the diving-centre in boxes and will be brought to the diving-boats by our friendly staff.

Boat-Trips:

We do have for our full-day trips modern and comfortable Boats (24 m Yacht), which leave direct from the Naama Bay Jetty in Sharm El Sheikh.
A Pick-Up Service from/to all the hotels is offered free of charge and guarantees an uncomplicated procedure.
The spacious Boats hold a big lounge, a toilet, sun deck and of course a huge diver deck In the galley.  There is a daily lunch buffet for only 40, - LE including Soft Drinks.
There are Full-Day-Trips offered with two tank dives per day. You can also do Night-Dives and Nitrox-Dives, Excursion to Dahab to the Blue Hole and to the Canyon.

  
Dive Sites:

The trips start, depending on the distance to the dive-site either 8.30 or 9.00.
The bus-transfer from the hotels is obviously arranged earlier. The transfer to the Travko Jetty is about 20 minutes.   The trip to the wreck of the Thistlegorm is exceptional and starts at about 5.00, returning back between 17.00 and 17.30.

We alternate visits to the local dive-sites in an area of about 10 and 30 minutes distance, to the well-known dive-sites near the Isle of Tiran (distance about 2 hours) and to Ras Mohammed (about 1 hour).

Once a week we visit the wreck of the Thistlegorm and also organise a bus trip to Dahab including some offshore dives at the Blue Hole and the Canyon. All together we can choose between 30 different dive-sites, so variation is guaranteed.

Safety & Security:

The boats carry Oxygen, First-Aid-Kit and have radio communications. A doctor who looks after the Decompression Chamber, is located opposite the Jetty.

Dive Courses :

To get your first impression of the amazing underwater world we offer 'discover scuba dives' in the pool several times a week free of charge.

We teach to Barakuda (CMAS) and PADI-Standards. The courses take four days and are in small groups of max. 6 people.
The courses are organised in a way that you always change between theory lessons and diving lections, so that it will never become boring.

After passing the examination you will get an internationally accepted certificate (CMAS*). Optionally the education is run by PADI Standards (PADI Open Water Diver).

If you would just like to check out the beautiful Underwater World of the Red Sea, you are welcome to do that with a 15 to 20 minute Discover Scuba Dive.

Already at a depth of 4 to 5 meters you will feel like being in an aquarium and can enjoy the wonderful Coral Reefs. This will be done at a ratio of 1 person per Diving Instructor.

Further to this we offer advanced courses up to CMAS gold and PADI Divemaster as well as Specialties and Nitrox-Diving.
